X-Plane Plug-ins

This is where all information on my plug-ins is kept. Currently I only have 1 plug-in that is in development, plus another 1 which I have some ideas for but no work on yet. you can read more about both of these below.

Commercial Pilot Project

The Commercial Pilot project was originally started in September 2007 as a piece of coursework for my A2 Computing course. Now that the exams are over I'm still continuing to improve and enhance it, and it is currently in version 1.2 beta release 1. This project itself consists of a program and a plug-in, both written in the Delphi programming language, where the program lets you select an airline, select a route to fly and also create your own airlines and routes using a built-in editor. The plug-in is purely there to bridge the gap between the program and X-Plane.

The project is split into 2 parts. The first part is the program. This provides the user a way of selecting an airline to fly with and then select routes to fly in the flight sim itself. User details are processed through a profile system, where users can store what airline their with, how many hours they've logged, etc in their own password protected profile. Also in the program is an editor that allows users to create their own airlines and routes. Currently, no user generated airlines have been sent to me to upload for use by the community, but then again the project is only available on Windows at the moment which represents just part of the community.

The other part to the project is the plug-in. Currently in beta still, the plug-in sets the user up in X-Plane at the correct airport and in the correct aircraft, although due to limitations with the SDK the user is placed on the default runway of the relevant airport. The plug-in is also being developed to take the time the user logs in X-Plane in the flight and then output it to the user's profile. This, however, is currently not working and is the last part of the project that needs completing.
